Cabraal appears before FCID to make a statement

CabraalFormer Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal appeared before the Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID) to make a statement.

He was asked to appear to make a statement over alleged financial malpractices said to have taken place when he was the Governor.


  1. There was a time during the Rajapakse regime when an unusual high number of new company and business registrations were taking place. Now it could be inferred that they were fronts for looting the economy with the tenders and contracts taking the many routes through these entities so as to confuse any future investigations to the point of frustration. Sadly, there are those including lawyers who are part of these crimes. They should be hounded and sent to jail for a long term, and prosecuted without delay.
