Modi and Wickremesinghe hold discussions on several issues

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had bilateral ?talks with Prime Minister?Ranil Wickremesinghe in New Delhi today, The Statesman reported.

“Furthering partnerships with a valued neighbor. PM @narendramodi meets Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe @RW_UNP at Hyderabad House,” External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted along with a picture of the two leaders.

Wickremesinghe arrived in New Delhi yesterday?on a three-day bilateral visit to India.

Earlier today, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj called on Wickremesinghe.
The visiting dignitary will call on President Pranab Mukherjee later in the day.

The Prime Minister will attend the opening plenary of the India Economic Summit in New Delhi?tomorrow?before leaving for Colombo. (Colombo Gazette)

Would-be illegal immigrants arrested in Kalmunai

The police have arrested seven would-be illegal immigrants in Kalmunai, the police media unit said today. The arrest was made following information?received?by the police that a group of people were attempting to head to Australia by boat. Investigations revealed that the seven?people?are?residents of Mullaitivu and aged between 26 and 39 years. Video claims Prabha?s son was fed and then killed

A new video, set to be screened in Geneva on the sidelines of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) session next month, shows what it claims to be the son of LTTE leader Villupillai Prabhakaran being fed inside a military bunker before being shot dead.
