Prime Minister to have key discussions in India

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will be in India tomorrow leading a delegation for the India Economic Summit.

The Prime Minister will attend the Opening Plenary of the India Economic Summit along with Mrs. Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of State (IC) for Commerce and Industry on October 6 2016.

During the visit, Prime Minister of Sri Lanka will call on the President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is hosting a lunch for the visiting dignitary. External Affairs Minister Smt. Sushma Swaraj will call on Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, the Indian External Affairs Ministry said.

His other meetings include calls on by Home Minister, Minister for Road Transport and Highways and Shipping, Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas and National Security Adviser.

The Prime Minister would be accompanied by his spouse Prof. Maithree Wickramasinghe, key Ministers and senior officials. (Colombo Gazette)

CPC and LIOC slash fuel prices

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (Ceypetco) and Lanka Indian Oil (LIOC) reduced fuel prices. Accordingly, CPC said that Octane 92 petrol has been reduced by Rs. 7 per litre, Octane 95 petrol by Rs. 10, Auto Diesel by Rs. 15 and Super Diesel by Rs. 135 per litre. The new prices are Octane 92 petrol – Rs. 333 per litre, Octane 95 petrol – Rs. 365 per litre, Auto diesel – Rs. 310 per litre and Super diesel – Rs. 330 per litre.
