Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake told reporters today that Sri Lanka will however need to confront any challenge it does not foresee.

He also said that misleading comments made by some political parties will also be a challenge for the Government.

The Government hopes to present the budget for 2017 to Parliament in November.

“We will do our best to ensure we get to the point we like Sri Lanka to be,” he said.

The Minister also said that the Government has been able to implement most of the proposals in the 2016 budget.

  1. People are ready to face hardships for the sake of the country and for good Governance and not for fake good governance. Definitely not for politicians and their close associates to become super rich and get super tax concessions while poor is unable to meet next day. People have still confidence only in two People Maithiri and Ranil and still not on persons around them
