Sri Lankans were among migrants rescued in the Mediterranean sea. Vaiko sent to jail for 2009 pro-LTTE speech

Mahanayaka Amarapura Maha Nikaya passed away

The Mahanayaka of the Sri Lanka Amarapura Maha Nikaya, the most venerable Davuldena Sri Gnanissara thero, passed away today, the Government information department said. The Mahanayaka of the Sri Lanka Amarapura Maha Nikaya was 103 years old at the time of his demise.
