Sujeewa says no to Nelly, Sean

UNP Parliamentarian Sujeewa Senasinghe questioned how it is that the government is giving the?green light?for award winning singers Nelly and Sean Kingston to perform in Sri Lanka and yet had issues with Akon a few years ago. Reading off an entertainment news item from the Colombo Gazette, the MP told Parliament that both Nelly and Sean Kingston will be performing in Sri Lanka in July as part of a concert organised by the Carlton Sports club. Ranil told can’t see Salley

Opposition and UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe has been refused permission to see Muslim politicial Azath salley in hospital. The UNP media unit said that Wickremesinghe had sought permission to visit Salley, during the party leader’s meeting in parliament. However the government had refused to allow the UNP leader to visit Salley who is in police custody while?receiving treatment in hospital. The UNP leader has however said that he will visit Salley even by force if he has to.
