Pakistan, Sri Lankan envoys discuss bilateral relations

Amari Mandika Wijewardene, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the United Kingdom called on Syed Ibne Ali, Pakistan High Commissioner to the United Kingdom at his office, ARY News reported.

During the meeting bilateral relations and mutual cooperation between the two countries came under discussion.

The two countries have friendly and cordial relations traditionally, which are reflected in the close ties in their Missions abroad.

Besides their close diplomatic ties, the two missions remain engaged through friendly cricket matches?the last match was played only a few weeks ago.

Fire destroys houses in Bogawantalawa

A fire destroyed several houses in Bogawantalawa today, the Police said. The Police said that 12 houses belonging to estate workers were destroyed in the fire. Around 42 people have been displaced as a result of the fire.

Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka unveils guidebook of consular protection

The Chinese embassy in Sri Lanka released a guidebook offering consular protection and assistance to Chinese nationals visiting the island country.
