Rishad seeks urgent meeting to discuss housing concerns

Rishad_BathiyudeenThe Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen today sought an urgent meeting with Rehabilitation, Resettlement and Hindu Religious Affairs Minister D.M Swaminathan to discuss housing concerns in the North.

Bathiudeen said he sought the meeting following a visit to the North where several families made an appeal seeking permanent houses before the rain season.

Bathiudeen told Parliament that he met Swaminathan today and hopes to have a follow-up meeting tomorrow to discus the issue.

Several war affected families are still displaced and are in temporary shelters in the North. (Colombo Gazette)

Mr. Richard Badirudeen,Mr.Swanithan is there to look after the problem of rehabilitation and settelement,he knows better than you.Better to look after your ministry than interfering in other’s affairs.Do you have any muslims from Puttalam to settle down illegally?We know very well during the last goverment what you did as minister of resettlement.
