President says large amount of funds allocated for North

President Maithripala Sirisena says a?large amount of money has been?allocated for the devolopment of the North.

The President also said that decisions that should be taken regarding the development of the country cannot be postponed under any circumstances.

President Sirisena expressed these views while participating at a ceremony held at the Jaffna Central College, today.

During the ceremony the President further said that swift measures will be taken to ensure development work in the North takes place without delay.

President Sirisena also said that he will tour in the district in the future to take necessary steps to prevent any delays in?the development work and to find out causes for those issues.

The Chief Minister of the Northern Province, C.V. Wigneswaran, State Education Minister, V. Radhakrishnan, State Minister Vijayakala Maheswaran and MP Douglas Devananda also attended the event. (Colombo Gazette)
