A crowd-funding campaign was launched after Sanduni Sulochana’s parents in Sri Lanka were unable to pay the full fees for her final year of an economics degree at the University of Melbourne.

Friend Thavisha Rambukwella, unable to stand by as Sulochana fretted about being kicked out of university and losing her student visa, set up the GoFundMe campaign which reached its $18,500 goal this week. (Colombo Gazette)
