Nisha and Ranil hold wide-ranging discussions

DSC_0251US Assistant Secretary of State Nisha Biswal and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe have had wide-ranging discussions in Singapore.

The Prime Minister’s office said that both sides discussed the political developments in Sri Lanka as well economic and social issues.

The Prime Minister briefed Biswal on the proposed economic corridor in Sri Lanka linking Kandy, Colombo and Hambantota and development plans for Trincomalee.

Matters related to assisting the families in the North was also discussed, the Prime Minister’s office added.

Biswal appreciated the efforts of the cohabitation Government and reiterated US support to Sri Lanka. (Colombo Gazette)
