Two suspects arrested over murder of businessman

Two suspects have been arrested over the abduction and murder of businessman?Sakeem Sulaiman from Bambalapitiya.

The two suspects are aged 22 and 23, the police said. The?businessman?was abducted for ransom and was found dead in Mawanella.

The abductors had demanded Rs. 20 million from the family of the businessman and his father had promised to pay the ransom.

However while investigations were ongoing the body was discovered in?Mawanella. The post-mortem revealed he died as a result of a blow to the head.

The police later?obtained a court order preventing five people wanted in connection to the murder from travelling overseas.?(Colombo Gazette)

Sri Lanka today donated a consignment of 4.6 tons of apparel to the victims of the recent earthquake in T?rkiye.
