Businessman abducted from Bambalapitiya found dead

Businessman?Mohammed Sakeem Sulaiman from Bambalapitiya, who was abducted recently for ransom, was found dead in Mawanella.

The Colombo Crimes Division had been investigating the alleged abduction of the businessman on Monday.

The abductors had demanded Rs. 20 million from the family of the businessman and his father had promised to pay the ransom.

However while investigations were ongoing the body was discovered in?Mawanella. The post-mortem revealed he died as a result of a blow to the head.

The police today obtained a court order preventing five people wanted in connection to the murder from travelling overseas.?(Colombo Gazette)

Pillay wants probe on war
