Several people infected with the coronavirus have been detected in various parts of the Colombo District, including in Moratuwa, Pitakotte and Boralesgamuwa. Officials said that 529 people were detected with the coronavirus in the Colombo District over a 24-hour period ending at 6am today. Several post offices closed because of Covid

By Vyshnavy Velrajh Several post offices have been temporarily closed due the detection of a number of Covid infected staff. Postmaster General Ranjith Ariyaratne told Colombo Gazette four post offices and 28 sub post offices have been closed in total as a result. Coronavirus claims another 13 lives in Sri Lanka

The coronavirus has claimed another 13 lives in Sri Lanka, the Government Information Department said today. The death toll from the virus has now increased to 709 in Sri Lanka. The latest victims include residents of Ja-Ela, Negombo, Malabe, Borella, Nuwara Eliya, Modara, and Panadura. Of the 13 deaths, one victim is a 44-year-old female resident of Divulapitiya.
