President sacks joint opposition members from SLFP posts

MaithripalaPresident Maithripala Sirisena today removed joint opposition members who were holding Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) organiser posts.

Sirisena appointed new SLFP electoral and district organizers during a meeting held at the President’s official residence.

During the meeting the President removed Pavithra Wanniarachchi, C. B. Ratnayake, Mahinda Yapa, Keheliya Rambukwella, Jagath Balasuriya, and Gamini Lokuge from their SLFP organiser posts.

The President made 40 appointments for the SLFP as President of the party which included 16 electoral organizers. (Colombo Gazette)
