Three stranded Lankan Tamils rescued in Nagapattinam

Three Sri Lankan Tamils, including a two-year-old girl, were rescued from a stranded fishing boat off Kodiakarai coast by fishermen of Nagapattinam, The Hindu newspaper reported. Fishermen of Akkaraipettai, who ventured in a boat owned by Kumar, rescued the Lankans after seeing them struggling for life at mid sea. Missing persons commission to submit details to new office

The Presidential commission on missing persons which has completed its mandate, will submit all details it has on missing persons to the new office on missing persons once it is established. Chairman of the commission, retired High Court judge Maxwell Paranagama told the Colombo Gazette that the commission will submit its final report to President Maithripala Sirisena next month.
