The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) says it will oppose the process being followed by the Government to submit a new Constitution to Parliament. Tamil schools closed tomorrow for Thai Pongal

The Government announced that all Tamil schools will be closed tomorrow (Monday)?Thai Pongal. Thai Pongal will be celebrated on Tuesday and a decision had been taken earlier to close all schools in the North tomorrow. However Minister of Education Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said that all Government Tamil schools in other parts of the country will also be closed tomorrow.
