Daya Master remanded till tomorrow by Vavuniya High Court

Former LTTE media coordinator Daya Master was remanded till tomorrow by the Vavuniya High Court after he was summoned to court today.

The summons was issued after the police Terrorist Investigations Division (TID) filed action in the Vavuniya Magistrates? court.

Following the end of the war Daya Master was released through court and he has since been involved with a private television station in Jaffna. (Colombo Gazette)

Knives and axes found in Maskeliya

The Police have found 49 knives and three axes at a place of worship in Maskeliya today. The knives were recovered during a search operation conducted in the area. One person was arrested over the discovery.
