Pregnant women advised to take precautions

Pregnant women in Sri Lanka have been urged to be vigilant and take precautionary measures in light of the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak in the country. Banks requested to open tomorrow in areas where curfew is lifted

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) has requested all Licensed Commercial Banks and Licensed Specialised Banks to keep their branches open at least for two (2) hours tomorrow (Monday, 23rd March 2020) in the areas where police curfew is lifted to provide urgent banking services to the general public. Fuel sheds to remain open during lockdown

Fuel sheds will remain open during the islandwide lockdown, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) said. Ceylon Petroleum Corporation Chairman Sumith Wijesinghe said that fuel is being distributed unaffected to fuel stations in the country.
