Herath takes a hat-trick against Australia

Spinner Rangana Herath took a hat-trick against Australia in the second Test match in Galle today.

Herath became only the second Sri Lankan after fast bowler Nuwan Zoysa to take a hat-trick.

Herath took the hat-trick in Australia’s first innings of the Test which put the Australians in a spot of bother.

Sri Lanka had earlier scored 281 in its first innings but?the Australians struggled to chase down the score losing wickets at regular intervals on the second day of the five day match.

Herath took the wickets of?AC Voges,?PM Nevill and?MA Starc to secure the hat-trick. (Colombo Gazette)

Army commander to appear before PSC

Army Commander Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake is scheduled to appear before the Parliament Select Committee (PSC) investigating the Easter Sunday attacks tomorrow. Former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen has also been summoned to appear before the PSC tomorrow. The Secretary to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the General Manager of the Industrial Development Board (IDB) have also been summoned by the PSC tomorrow.
