Eleven people including six monks were released on bail today over the Homagama court incident. The monks and five civilians had been remanded for behaving in an unruly manner at the Homagama Magistrate’s court premises recently. They were however granted bail today by the?Homagama Magistrate.

Two attempt self-immolation during demo against Sri Lanka

High drama was witnessed during a protest by Tamil Nadu?fishermen pressing a-three-point-charter of demands against the Sri Lankan Government on Monday at Nungambakkam after two participants attempted self-immolation, the Deccan Chronicle reported.
