Government Minister Tissa Vitarana says the 13th Amendment to the constitution cannot be defeated in Parliament. Dimbulapatana families evacuated

Several families in Bogahawatte in the Dimbulapatana area were evacuated this evening following heavy rain. The police said that cracks appeared in some houses and the ground was also unstable. As a result 20 families had to be evacuated to temporary shelters as a precautionary measure. The police said that the families have been sheltered at the Bogahawatte Tamil school. (Colombo Gazette)
