Nigerian President briefed on developments in Sri Lanka

SRI LANKA AMBSri Lanka’s High Commissioner to Nigeria Thambirajah Raveenthiran presented his Credentials to Muhammadu Buhari the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria at the Presidential Villa at Abuja.

The High Commissioner was accompanied by Thushara S. Gamage the Attaché Administration and Miss. H.P. Chandrika the Attaché Accounts of the High Commission.

After the presentation of the Letter of Credence the High Commissioner was given an audience with the Nigerian President. The High Commissioner took this opportunity to apprise the Nigerian President about all significant developments that have taken place in Sri Lanka since the new Government came to power under the leadership of President Maithripala Sirisena.

The High Commissioner conveyed the greetings and best wishes from President Sirisena and that of the people of Sri Lanka. The Nigerian President requested the High Commissioner to convey his personal greetings and that of the people of Nigeria to his Sri Lankan counterpart as well.

The High Commissioner thanked the President for all the support and goodwill Nigeria had shown towards Sri Lanka in the past. (Colombo Gazette)
