Basil arrested over alleged misappropriation of funds

Former Economic Affairs Minister Basil Rajapaksa was arrested today over the alleged?misappropriation of funds.

He was arrested after appearing before the police Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID).

The former Minister was questioned over the?misappropriation of Divineguma funds when he was a Minister.

He was produced before court and remanded till August 1st. (Colombo Gazette)
