Opposition says gas cylinder issue a threat to national security

The opposition today noted that the gas cylinder issue is a threat to national security. Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa told Parliament today that the Government must take steps to enforce its policy on national security. Car plunges into Mahaweli River killing one person

A car plunged into the Mahaweli River this morning killing one person while two others were rescued. The Police said that the driver had lost control of the speeding vehicle along the Kandy-Gurudeniya Road. The car had veered off the road and plunged into the Mahaweli River. The Police said that two people were rescued while one person was missing. The body of the missing person was later recovered. (Colombo Gazette)

SLFP says public losing confidence in SLPP Government

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) says the public are losing confidence in the Government led by the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP).
