Weapons found hidden near Mount Lavinia canal

The Police today found four pistols and magazines hidden near a canal at Mount Lavinia. The Police said that the weapons were found based on information received by the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD). The pistols and magazines were found in a shrub area near the canal. The CCD is conducting further investigations. (Colombo Gazette)

Mahinda Deshapriya considering stepping down in September

Police obtain court order after port workers disrupt operations

The Police today obtained a court order after workers at the Colombo Port disrupted operations by blocking access routes to the port.
