Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Malik hold talks in China

Andhra Pradesh Chief MinisterAndhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu met Minister for Development Strategies and International Trade Malik Samarawickrama in China for talks.

Samarawickrama told the Chief Minister that Sri Lanka was keen on working with Andhra Pradesh, especially in the tourism promotion sector.

The Hindu newspaper reported that both sides also discussed about the progress of works on Amaravati, a proposed riverfront capital city of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

Naidu said his Government had adopted the port-led development model for making the State the gateway to South East Asia. (Colombo Gazette)
