Over 150 passengers who arrived from South Korea, Italy sent to Batti

Over 150 passengers who returned from South Korea and Italy this morning were sent to the Batticaloa Campus quarantine centre. Officials said that 179 Sri Lankan students from South Korea had arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake at 3.33 am today. Meanwhile, 15 Sri Lankan students from Italy had arrived at the BIA this morning. The students were sent to the quarantine centre via buses organized by the Ministry of Health. Six killed in Lunugamwehehara road accident

Six people were killed in a road accident in Lunugamwehehara this morning, the Police said. The Police said that the van in which the victims were travelling in had veered off the road and hit a tree. Three others in the van sustained injuries and were admitted to hospital. (Colombo Gazette)
