Ontario Legislative Assembly Speaker briefed on reconciliation process

The?Ontario Legislative Assembly Speaker has been briefed on the reconciliation process in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka?s High Commissioner to Canada Ahmed A. Jawad meet with Dave Levac, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario and briefed him on the reconciliation process and economic progress in Sri Lanka, the Sri Lankan High Commission in Canada said.

Opportunities to further develop relations between Sri Lanka and Canada in a number of areas were also discussed.

The High Commissioner was accompanied by U.L.M. Jauhar, Consul General in Toronto and Asoka Godawita, Deputy Consul General. (Colombo Gazette)

The coronavirus death toll in Sri Lanka rose to 375 today, the Government Information Department said. The Government said that five new deaths were reported today. The five victims were residents of Colombo 5, Wattala, Aluthgama, Gampaha and Wellampitiya.
