A severe weather warning has been issued for sea areas?for the next 48 hours from 2pm today, the Disaster Management Center. Due to active cloudiness in the deep and shallow sea areas off the coast extending from Trincomalee to Colombo via Batticaloa, Pottuvil, Hambantota and Matara, a sudden roughness of the sea areas with strong winds can be expected.
