Four Air Force personnel killed in Warakapola accident

Four Air Force personnel were killed in an accident in Warakapola today, the Police said. The Police said that the three-wheeler they were travelling in collided with a truck along the Kandy-Colombo main road early this morning. The Air Force personnel had been returning from a funeral when the accident occurred. The driver of the container was arrested. (Colombo Gazette)

Six middlemen arrested near RMV

Six middlemen have been arrested near the Registrar of Motor Vehicles (RMV) office at Werahera while obtaining bribes. The Police said they were arrested while accepting bribes upto Rs.10000.
