Two top UK officials arrive to discuss progress on reconciliation

Simon_McDonaldPermanent Under-Secretary at the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office Simon McDonald and Permanent Secretary at the UK Department for International Development Mark Lowcock arrived in Sri Lanka today.

McDonald, the most senior UK diplomat and Lowcock will meet with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Leader of the Opposition R. Sampanthan, members of the government, senior officials and UK funded civil society partners, the British High Commission in Colombo said.

They will discuss progress on reconciliation and human rights as well as UK support for reconciliation, and wider areas of cooperation between the two countries. (Colombo Gazette)

  2. The Brits can not a lasting solution to Northen Irland, Gibraltar, Scotland, Brixit, Plastine and still haven’t publish the Chillcott report infact took 20 odd years to publish the Liverpool fans football disaster how are they going advise Sri Lanka
