Ranil greets Lankans who reached summit of Mount Everest

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe today greeted the two Sri Lankans who reached the summit of Mount Everest.

The Prime Minister had a brief meeting with?Jayanthi Kuru-Utumpala and?Johann Peries at the Katunayake airport.

Jayanthi Kuru-Utumpala became the first Sri Lankan to reach the summit of Mount Everest recently while her partner in the expedition, Johann Peries followed her?to the top.

International Mountain Guides, the mountaineering company supporting Jayanthi and Johann were?overseeing the training, logistical support, as well as providing meals for the duo. (Colombo Gazette)
