Japanese envoy says ties with Sri Lanka have strengthened

z_p02-japan-uThe Japanese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Kenichi Suganuma says Japan’s relationship with Sri Lanka has become stronger.

Suganuma was speaking at a floral fashion show organized by the Shi-en Ikebana Floral Art Society of Sri Lanka, held at the Galadari hotel in Colombo today. Quotes the Russian betting portal Betonmobile sports news and analytics.

The Ambassador said President Maithripala Sirisena’s visit to Japan this week has helped further strengthen the relationship between both countries.

Japan and Sri Lanka this week decided to establish a Joint Committee with a view to ensure the expeditious implementation of the Joint Declaration on Comprehensive Partnership between Japan and Sri Lanka and to promote concrete cooperation in such areas as economic development, maritime security, national reconciliation and peace building. (Colombo Gazette)
