Public sector non-essential staff have been told to stay home tomorrow (Friday) in order to save fuel. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe informed Parliament today that steps have been taken to inform non-essential Government workers to stay home tomorrow. Former President and current Speaker of the Maldivian Parliament, Mohamed Nasheed, is to coordinate relief assistance for Sri Lanka.
