Namal asked to appear before PRECIFAC and FCID at same time

Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa has been asked to appear before?the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to investigate and inquire into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Power, State Resources and Privileges (PRECIFAC)?and the police Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID) on the same day at the same time next week.

Rajapaksa, the son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, tweeted saying he has been asked appear before?PRECIFAC and the FCID on Tuesday at the same time.

“How does the Govt expect me to be in 2 places at once?! Been summoned to both PRECIFAC & FCID on Tuesday at the very same time,” he tweeted.

It has been reported that Rajapaksa is to be questioned by?PRECIFAC over the assets he had when his father was President. (Colombo Gazette)

The Chief Priest of the Maha Bodhi, the Most Ven. Dr. Pallegama Sirinivasa Nayaka Thero, passed away. He was 69-years-old at the time of his death. The monk was receiving treatment at a private hospital at the time of his death. The most Ven. Dr. Pallegama Sirinivasa Nayaka Thero is the Atamasthana Adhipathi of Anuradhapura and Chief Priest of the North Central Province and also the head priest of the Bomaluwa Temple in Anuradhapura.
