The Army fired in the air during a tense situation at a fuel station in Meegahathenna, Kalutara today. The tense situation involved motorists waiting for fuel for several hours at the fuel station. Body believed to be of child thrown into river found

The body believed to be of a child thrown into the Kelaniya river in Wattala, has been found. The Police said that the body was found in the Waikkala beach. A woman had this week thrown her child in the river in Wattala and attempted suicide. The Police said that the 42-year old woman had thrown her 5 year-old son into the Kelaniya River in Wattala.
