Oman and Sri Lanka discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations

Oman and Sri Lanka have had talks on ways to enhance the bilateral relations between both countries.

Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal bin Saud al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court in Oman met?Ali Akbar Sibeveih, the Ambassador of Iran and M K Pathmanaathan,?the?Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Oman separately for talks.

During his meeting with?Pathmanaathan both sides reviewed the bilateral relations and discussed ways to enhance them in different fields, the?muscat daily reported.

The website also said that Busaidi bade farewell to the envoy from Iran,?Sibeveih and discussed matters of common concern. The ambassador expressed his thanks for the cooperation extended to him during the tour of duty.

Busaidi thanked the?Iranian?ambassador for the good efforts he exerted to enhance the relations between Oman and Iran, wishing him success. (Colombo Gazette)

First Sri Lankan contracts coronavirus in Italy

The first Sri Lankan to have contracted the coronavirus has been reported from Italy, the Sri Lankan Embassy in Italy said. The Embassy said the victim was identified as a 46- year old female from Brescia. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Relations revealed that the woman has been admitted to a hospital in Brescia.
