Government defends appointment of military officers to administrative posts

The Government today defended the appointment of military officers to key administrative posts. Minister of Information and Mass Media Bandula Gunawardena said that the military officers appointed to the posts are qualified to hold those positions. President donates three months salary to COVID?19 fund

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa donated his salary for three months to the COVID-19 Health Care and Social Security Fund. The President’s Office said that Rajapaksa donated his salary of Rs. 292,500/- for three months to the COVID-19 Health Care and Social Security Fund.
