India’s NIA joins Sri Lanka’s probe into Easter Sunday attacks

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) in India has joined the probe into the Easter Sunday attacks in Sri Lanka, India’s Republic TV reported. A team from NIA left earlier this week to assist the Sri Lankan authorities. The mandate of NIA team is to probe the India link in the blasts that were carried out in Sri Lanka. SLPP calls for motion to dissolve Parliament

The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) says it is ready to support a motion to dissolve Parliament. Parliamentarian Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena said that there are some elements in Parliament who must be removed. Switzerland relaxes travel advise on Sri Lanka

Switzerland has relaxed a travel advise imposed on Sri Lanka, the Swiss Ambassador to Sri Lanka and the Maldives Hanspeter Mock said. He said that Switzerland no longer advises to avoid unnecessary travel to Sri Lanka but notes that travelers should maintain a high level of personal security during their stay in the country.
