Bollywood star Jacqueline to help rebuild homes in Sri Lanka

Jacqueline FernandezBollywood star Jacqueline Fernandez is to work with an NGO in Sri Lanka to rebuild homes damaged in natural disasters.

The Mumbai Mirror reported that Fernandez had come out in support of the Chennai flood victims with rehabilitation work through her initiative, Jacqueline Builds.

Now, the Housefull 3 actress returns to her home country, Sri Lanka, to help rebuild villages ravaged by natural disasters.

“Jacqueline, in collaboration with the NGO, Habitat for Humanity, will work towards re-building homes in Sri Lanka in the coming months. She’d received a lot of support from her Bollywood colleagues, who contributed with financial aid and help. It has only encouraged her,” a source reveals.

Jackie confirmed the news, saying, “I will work on Sri Lanka next but we are still in the initial stages of planning. We will do some ground-work after which we’ll take a call on which areas need immediate attention.” (Colombo Gazette)
