The Mumbai Mirror reported that Fernandez had come out in support of the Chennai flood victims with rehabilitation work through her initiative, Jacqueline Builds.
Now, the Housefull 3 actress returns to her home country, Sri Lanka, to help rebuild villages ravaged by natural disasters.
“Jacqueline, in collaboration with the NGO, Habitat for Humanity, will work towards re-building homes in Sri Lanka in the coming months. She’d received a lot of support from her Bollywood colleagues, who contributed with financial aid and help. It has only encouraged her,” a source reveals.
Jackie confirmed the news, saying, “I will work on Sri Lanka next but we are still in the initial stages of planning. We will do some ground-work after which we’ll take a call on which areas need immediate attention.” (Colombo Gazette)
