Weapons stolen from Laggala police station found near Temple

T-56The weapons stolen from the Laggala police station have been found near a Temple in the area, the police said.

Three policemen attached to the Laggala police station were interdicted over the incident.

A T-56 weapon and five revolvers were stolen from the Laggala police station in Matale this week.

The police said that an individual had stolen the weapons and fled. An investigation was launched into the incident and the three policemen were later interdicted. (Colombo Gazette)
