SLPA chairman warned by court and released on bail

The?chairman of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) Dhammika Ranatunga was issued a severe warning by the court today for threatening journalists recently and was released on bail.
A group of journalists had?filed a police complaint against Ranatunga over the incident.
The journalists claimed that he had threatened them when they were doing their duty outside the Colombo High Court recently.
Th journalists were taking visuals of?Dhammika Ranatunga at the court premises when he had arrived to attend a?court hearing into the arrest of his brother Nishantha Ranatunga.
Dhammika Ranatunga was seen intimidating one journalist at the court premises before he went inside the building.
A group of?journalists later filed a complaint with the Keselwatta police over the incident. (Colombo Gazette)
