The Samagi Jana Balawegaya claims the United National Party (UNP) is set to join the Government. COVID-19 continues to be under control in Sri Lanka

The coronavirus continues to be under control in Sri Lanka, the Health Ministry said today. Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi said that there has not been any sign of the virus spreading among communities for the past three weeks. EC informs court polls cannot be held on 20 June

The National Elections Commission (EC) has informed the Supreme Court that the Parliamentary election cannot be held on 20 June. Lawyer Saliya Peries (PC) appearing for the Election Commission submitted to the court that as of now the Election Commission feels that the General Election cannot be held on 20th June.
