Export of travel goods from Sri Lanka will enjoy duty free entry to the United States following a decision by the United States administration to approve the inclusion of travel goods from all GSP beneficiary countries, including Sri Lanka, in the expanded US General System of Preferences (GSP) scheme on July 1, 2017, the Foreign Ministry said today.? Navy arrests eight Indian fishermen off Point Pedro

The?Navy arrested eight Indian fishermen off Point Pedro in the North last night. The Navy media unit said that fast attack craft belonging to the Northern Naval Command arrested the Indian fishing while they were engaged in illegal fishing activities in Sri Lankan waters, about 15 nm north of Point Pedro.
