The Ministry said that the delegation was heading to China on the instructions of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and on an invitation from the Chinese Government.
The delegation will look to take forward agreements signed between Sri Lanka and China during President Maithripala Sirisena’s visit to China last year.
“The State Minister will have talks focused on strengthening ties between both countries,” the Ministry added.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is also expected to visit China soon to seek investments and boost economic ties.
