Fonseka accuses joint opposition of making false claims

Regional Development Minister and former army commander, Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka accused the?joint opposition of attempting to stir the public by spreading false claims.

He claimed the joint opposition can survive only by instigating the public and creating problems in the country.

The Minister said that the?joint opposition is now attempting to mislead the public by claiming that terrorism may raise its head once again in the country. (Colombo Gazette)

Official creditors and Sri Lanka agree in principle on debt restructuring

Official creditors and Sri Lanka have agreed, in principle, on restructuring the country’s debt.
