Yoshitha Rajapaksa re-remanded by Kaduwela Magistrate

YoshithaYoshitha Rajapaksa, son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa was re-remanded by the Kaduwela Magistrate today.

Rajapaksa, former Sri Lanka cricket board secretary Nishantha Ranatunga and three others were remanded when they were produced in court today.

The owners and top management of the Carlton Sports Network (CSN) including Yoshitha Rajapaksa, Nishantha Ranatunga and Mahinda Rajapaksa’s spokesman Rohan Weliwita were arrested on January 30 by the Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID) over alleged financial irregularities.

The CSN management was being investigated for financial irregularities alleged to have been committed at CSN. (Colombo Gazette)

  1. Obviously, President Rajapaka and his family members never thought this will happen to them. They were too confident about their political power. How they came to such a conclusion after finishing the war against the Western Countries’ wishes? War winning President ended up in a disaster; even though he had hundreds of advisers. Tamil have paid for their ignorance. Mahinda Rajapaksa is paying for it. Let’s wait and see where Ranil will end up. Eventually, you will pay for your ignorance when you ignore people like us.
