Government investigates Udayanga’s email statements

The Government is investigating the email statements reportedly issued by?Sri Lanka?s former Ambassador to Russia, Udayanga Weeratunga. SLFP insists no rift with UPFA, will contest together

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) today insisted that there was no rift with the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) and said that they will contest the Parliament election together. UPFA WPC member Thushara Perera arrested

United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Western Provincial Council member Thushara Perera?was arrested today, the police media unit said. The police said that he was arrested for having in his possession a revolver and ammunition.
