Court orders arrest of cops over Embilipitiya incident

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has been ordered by the?Embilipitiya Magistrate to arrest the police officers allegedly involved in the incident which led to the death of a youth in?Embilipitiya recently.

The?Embilipitiya Magistrate has?issued instructions to arrest the?former Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and the Headquarters Inspector (HQI) of Embilipitiya in relation to the incident.

Embilipitiya ASP D.W.C. Dharmaratne and HQI S.R.J. Dias were?transferred last week as further investigations continued in to the death of the?youth. (Colombo Gazette)

MR, SLFP JO members to take SLPP membership
